HIV Scotland: “The independent voice for HIV in Scotland”

HIV Scotland is the leading national policy and strategic HIV charity. Through its policy network and information updates, Healthy Gay Scotland and the African and Minority Ethnic HIV Project, it delivers the following priorities

•  leadership with government and health in policy and strategic direction

•  promoting sexual health and HIV awareness amongst gay and bisexual men

•  building community action with African and minority ethnic populations

•  national co-ordination on the part of HIV charities and communities. Voluntary and community agencies are at the forefront of HIV prevention, care and support.

Innovation and responsiveness mark its response to social deprivation, health inequalities, stigma and discrimination that fuel the spread of HIV. HIV Scotland seeks to represent and support that response with the authority of a collective response and expertise in health promotion and community participation.
